- Slide the belt off the motor shaft and pulley.
- Carefully lift out the drum.
Step 4: Install the New Belt
- Wrap the new belt around the drum (ribbed side down).
- Place the drum back into the cabinet.
- Re-thread the belt through the tension pulley and motor shaft (follow your dryer’s diagram or the video above for correct routing).
Step 5: Reassemble the Dryer
- Reconnect the door switch and screw the front panel back on.
- Lower the top panel and snap it into place.
- Reinstall the lint filter and its screws.
- Plug in the dryer (or turn the gas back on).
